Antique Berks County Chest Hand Painted Original by Kathy Graybill

Measures 39" Wide x 18" Tall x 14.5" Deep

This is an absolutely amazing antique blanket chest that has been hand painted by the talented Kathy Graybill! This is a true time period piece that has been preserved and updated by Kathy Graybill herself. This is hand signed on the bottom....a ONE OF A KIND! As you can see the design is based off of a box from the late eighteenth century in Pennsylvania. The mounted horseman on this closely resembles one found on a chest from Berks County. This chest has a hideaway compartment in the till. They did this to hid money, documents, anything of value. See the before photos to see how Kathy kept the original paint and just added the imagery. This piece was from an estate in South Carolina. Each piece was owned by an antique collector who was collecting over 60 years and had 6 storage units full of antiques. These are just a few pieces purchased thru the estate sale so check out the other offerings!
